BORN TO BE GREEN, SHAPED BY PRELOVED DENIM
Ecojeans is made from eco-friendly viscose and lyocell, and gets its distinctive look from recycled denim yarns. You will love the randomly scattered flocks from recycled denim throughout the material, making every metre unique and embracing the beauty of imperfection. The combination of dope-dyed yarns with viscose creates a contemporary multi-tonal effect, perfect for modern books, stationery and packaging, but in turn also contributes to the reduction of ecological impact. Lined with 90% recycled, FSC certified paper and available in 8 colours.
ECO-FRIENDLY VISCOSE
By choosing LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres, we have chosen fibres that have up to 50% less water and CO2 impact than regular viscose. They are derived from biodegradable wood pulp, sourced from sustainably managed forests.
LYOCELL FIBRES
Lyocell is one of the most sustainable fibres in the world. Thanks to the closed-loop production, water and non-toxic solvents are recycled - ensuring maximum reuse of resources and contributing to environmentally responsible production. Made from EU-grown wood pulp from controlled resources.
RECYCLED DENIM
#hackyourjeans* yarns are made from post-consumer recycled jeans. They are collected, shredded and spun in the EU. By using recycled fibres, we are making old denim valuable again.
DOPE DYED YARNS
Dope dyed viscose yarns are known for being environmentally friendlier as they are dyed during the production process of the fibre. This eliminates any further need for dyeing, which saves on water, dye and energy.
Ecojeans yarns are EU Ecolabel certified.
*#hackyourjeans is an initiative of ESG Green, resulting from a cooperation between ESG (European Spinning Group) and (social) industry, education, designers and network organizations, to stimulate the use of recycled materials.
